Kwiksew 3504 Jeans

Year: 2021
Media: Denim, cotton broadcloth, jean hardware
Skills: Sewing, serging, pattern adjustments, zipper installation

There’s something inherently intimidating about the prospect of sewing a pair of jeans for the first time. You never quite feel ready or skilled enough to do it - you just have to jump in and start. I improved a lot of my sewing skills during the process, such as topstitching, bar tacks, and zipper installation. And I added some special touches such as a custom embroidery pattern on the back pockets and patterned pocket linings.

I used the Kwiksew 3504 pattern and a 10 oz. stretch denim.
